🍵 The matcha universe

Matcha creations

A ceremony-grade matcha, chosen to skip the grassy taste that puts so many people off. Many of our guests try their first real matcha here, without even planning to when they walked in.

No low-grade powder. We simply picked a matcha we genuinely love, then built recipes that show it off. Whether hot, iced, indulgent or more refreshing, its taste always stays at the heart of the glass.

Matcha Latte at café ROZE

The gateway drink

Matcha Latte

This is often where it starts. A hand-whisked matcha, lengthened with milk, no frills. Not too sweet, not bitter: the version that makes you want another.

"Even people who think they don't like matcha often start with this one."

Flavours
Vegetal, smooth, creamy. Almost no bitterness.
When to choose it
In the morning, or for a first taste of matcha.
What to pair it with
A plain croissant, to stay on the gentle side.

A counter story

Kiss me Matcha

Kiss me Matcha was one of the very first matchas we created at café ROZE. From the start, we wanted a regressive drink: strawberry milk for the childhood memory, matcha for a more grown-up touch.

"It's usually the strawberry milk for the kid... and only the matcha foam left for mum 🤭"

Flavours
Strawberry and matcha, in the same glass.
When to choose it
Any time, just to treat yourself.
What to pair it with
A small pistachio cake.
Coco Matcha Bliss at café ROZE

The refreshing version

Coco Matcha Bliss

A house creation: coconut water, mango purée and a matcha foam that softens everything. Made for the hot days in Saint-Joseph when a regular coffee just won't do.

"Our most refreshing matcha, made for sunny days."

Flavours
Coconut, mango, matcha in the background. Light and fruity.
When to choose it
In the afternoon, when it's hot out.
What to pair it with
A light pastry or a sweet croffle.

Between a drink and a dessert

Affogato Matcha

Vanilla gelato drowned in matcha, with a strawberry or raspberry coulis and pistachio bits. Served in a bowl: not quite a drink, not quite a dessert.

"It stands on its own. People have it after a meal, or just to treat themselves."

Flavours
Creamy, matcha-forward, a touch of red fruit.
When to choose it
At the end of a meal, as dessert.
What to pair it with
Nothing: it stands on its own.
